It has just been announced that the Black Cultural Archives has been awarded £4 million by the Heritage Lottery Fund in order to turn Raleigh Hall in Brixton into a permanent home for the organisation.

The announcement has been covered by The Guardian and on there are more details (and some pictures) on the 24-Hour Museum. Anyone interested in the background to this story should check out the special 2006 supplement by published by The Voice.
